National Veterinary Conference to be Held in Rupandehi Focusing on One Health Concept

Butwal. To strengthen the 'One Health' concept by uniting animal health, technology, and research, a grand national conference of veterinarians and technicians is set to take place in Rupandehi. The Nepal Veterinary Association has completed preparations to organize the 16th National Veterinary Conference in Manigram, Rupandehi, on Chaitra 27 and 28.

At a press conference held on Saturday, the Central President of the Association, Dr. Kedar Subedi, informed that this conference will scientifically analyze the deep interrelationship between humans, animals, and the environment. According to him, approximately 500 veterinarians and technicians from Nepal are expected to attend the conference, and 250 individuals have registered so far.

This conference will not be limited only to Nepali experts. This time, the participation of representatives from more than 7 countries, including Nepal, and more than 15 international invited speakers has been confirmed. Specifically, more than 150 research papers will be presented concerning animal health, epidemic control, food security, and the impact of climate change on animal production.

Dr. Shankar Neupane, the General Secretary of the Association, stated that the attraction of the conference will be exhibition stalls related to animal health, medicine, vaccines, nutrition, and modern technologies. This aims to familiarize participants with the latest technologies and practical applications developed worldwide in the field of veterinary medicine.

The organizers announced that a friendly cricket match among veterinarians from across Nepal will be organized at the Extra Tech Oval International Cricket Ground in Rupandehi on Chaitra 26, on the eve of the conference.
