Labor Culture Party Chair Reacts to Arrests of Oli and Lekhak, Calls for Action Against Vandalism

Hark Sampang, Chairman of the Labor Culture Party, has reacted following the arrest of CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. He termed the current political development as an act of revenge and demanded that those who burned and destroyed key administrative buildings of the state in the past should also be arrested and prosecuted.

Publishing his views on social media, Sampang stated that people understand his words late. He recalled stating in a program in Okhaldhunga that regardless of who wins, there will be politics of revenge, but only his party will pursue politics of progress. Targeting the arrests of Oli and Lekhak, he claimed that only such revenge and continuous protests would be seen in the country from now on.

He said, ‘They understand my words late! I said this at the program in Okhaldhunga. Regardless of who else wins, there will be politics of revenge! Politics of progress is only with the Labor Culture Party! And now, only this will happen! Protest, protest, and then protest!’

In this context, Sampang also cited incidents of vandalism during protests. Expressing anger towards those who destroyed state property, he stated that the leaders responsible for burning and demolishing Singha Durbar, the Parliament building, the Supreme Court, and many government buildings should also be arrested immediately. He added that those involved in such acts should be arrested and severely punished.
