Golf Legend Tiger Woods Arrested in Florida After DUI Incident

Florida. Golf legend Tiger Woods has been arrested after causing a car accident in Florida. The 15-time major champion, 50-year-old Woods, has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI), property damage, and refusing a lawful test.

His car overturned after it struck a truck on Jupiter Island on Friday afternoon. According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensic, the accident occurred when Woods was speeding while attempting to overtake a pressure washer truck.

Woods had to exit the car door himself after the accident. Officers arriving at the scene noted signs of impairment in him. Although the breathalyzer test showed he had not consumed alcohol, police suspect the influence of some unknown narcotic substance.

Although Woods cooperated with the police at the scene, he refused to undergo a urine test. The Sheriff stated that Woods provided information about his health condition and past surgeries, and a detailed roadside test was conducted keeping that in mind.

Police say that because he refused the test, additional legal sections will be attracted against him, and it will never be proven what substance he consumed at that time.

US President Donald Trump expressed sadness over the incident, calling Woods a very close friend and a wonderful person. He expressed sympathy, stating that Woods is currently going through some difficulties.

According to the police, Woods will be released on bail after being held in custody for eight hours. It was reported that no one was injured in this incident and the charges against Woods fall under misdemeanor offenses rather than serious crimes.
