UN Secretary-General Urges US, Israel to End Conflict and Calls on Iran to Halt Regional Attacks

New York. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has sent a message to the United States and Israel that it is time to end the war. He also urged Iran to stop attacking its neighboring countries. 

Speaking to journalists, Guterres stated that during his recent visit to Lebanon, he closely observed the extreme insecurity faced by its citizens, describing the situation as terrifying. Secretary-General Guterres emphasized that the war taking place in Lebanon must also stop immediately. 

He called on the armed group Hezbollah not to attack Israel and called on Israel to cease its military operations and airstrikes in Lebanon. He warned the global community that the devastating model seen in Gaza must not be repeated in Lebanon.

According to him, the war is only causing destruction, and it is already late to stop it. He believes that the escalating military tension on the border between Lebanon and Israel endangers the peace of the entire Middle East. 

Guterres has repeatedly urged all warring parties to exercise restraint and seek solutions to the problems through diplomatic channels.
