Three Killed, One Seriously Injured in Tipper Truck Accident in Palpa, Nepal

Butwal. Three people have died and one person has been seriously injured after a tipper truck accident on the Jhadewa-Rahawas internal unpaved road section in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-7, Palpa.

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the empty tipper truck, bearing registration number Lu 2 Kha 4525, which was traveling from Jhadewa towards the Rahawas limestone quarry, fell about 50 meters down the road and crashed around 6 PM on Saturday.

DSP Hom Bahadur Chaudhary of Palpa stated that four men, including the driver, were injured in the accident.

The District Police Office, Palpa reported that the injured were rescued and taken to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas for treatment, where doctors declared three of them dead during the course of treatment.

The deceased has been identified as the driver, Chinta Bahadur Sunar, approximately 26 years old, residing in Sandhikharka Municipality-4, Arghakhanchi. Police stated that the names, surnames, and addresses of the other two deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Among the injured, Rajan Gharti, 33 years old, residing in Patuwa, Tansen Municipality-10, Palpa, is in serious condition and is currently undergoing treatment.

The District Police Office, Palpa has informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
