Two Arrested in Kathmandu with Over NPR 1 Million in Cash of Undisclosed Origin

Kathmandu. Two individuals were arrested near Jay Nepal Hall in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1 with NPR 1,063,840 in cash from an unknown source. The Central News Room of the police stated that Deepak Shrestha, 27, and Sunil Shrestha, 25, both residents of Kapana, Kathmandu, and originally from Khadadevi Rural Municipality-5, Ramechhap, were apprehended.

The individuals were found with the cash while riding on a scooter with license plate BAP 02-52 P 6994, traveling from Hitipokhari towards Nagpokhari, after being stopped by police deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Darbar Marg. The police are currently conducting necessary investigations into this matter.
