Rastriya Swatantra Party Secretariat Meeting Convenes Amidst Health Concerns for Chairman Lamichhane

Kathmandu. Today, the Secretariat meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is taking place. RSP leaders have arrived at the party office in Banasthali (Ghantighar) to participate in the meeting. 

Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is reported to participate virtually due to his ongoing health issues. The meeting, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, was postponed to today after Chairman Rabi Lamichhane fell ill. 

The meeting is set to discuss the recommendation of proportional representation candidates for the House of Representatives election 2082 and necessary steps to appoint senior leader Balen Shah as the parliamentary party leader. 

Based on the votes received in the proportional representation category, the party is set to secure 57 seats. With 125 seats won in the first-past-the-post category, RSP will have 182 members in the House of Representatives.  The Election Commission has set today as the deadline for submitting the list of proportional representation members.
