Nepal Pharma Expo 2026 Concludes in Kathmandu, Showcasing Domestic Drug Manufacturing Prowess

Kathmandu. The three-day Nepal Pharma Expo 2026, organized by the Nepal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (NPMA), has concluded. The expo was held on Falgun 28, 29, and 30 with the central theme, "Innovation in Pharma, Health for Tomorrow." This was the tenth edition of the expo, which the association organizes every two years.

Biplab Adhikari, President of the Nepal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, stated that the expo was organized to instill confidence that world-class and quality medicines are being produced in Nepal. He said, "We organized the expo to inform the public about the technologies being developed for drug manufacturing in the global context and that we are producing Nepali medicines by embracing newly invented technologies." He also urged the public not to doubt the quality of medicines produced in Nepal.

Shailesh Vaidya, Media Coordinator for the expo, mentioned that the expo was held to demonstrate to the public that medicines meeting international standards and quality are being manufactured. According to him, more than 25,000 people observed the expo over the three days.

The expo featured over 200 exhibition stalls, with more than 90 percent of the total stalls occupied by foreign and multinational companies. Furthermore, the latest raw materials, packaging materials, and state-of-the-art machinery available in the global market were displayed, alongside showcasing the progress and products of the domestic pharmaceutical industry.
