Home Minister Thanks Security Officials for Peaceful Federal Parliament Elections

Kathmandu. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal expressed gratitude to the officials of the Central Security Committee, Provincial Command Posts, and District Security Committees for conducting the House of Representatives elections in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment.

During the review meeting held virtually today, attended by Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, chiefs of all four security agencies, departmental heads of the ministry, officials of the Provincial Command Posts, and officials of the District Security Committees, Minister Aryal thanked everyone for successfully playing their respective roles in ensuring a bloodless, historic election. This included officials from the Provincial Command Posts, coordinated by the respective provincial chief secretaries, and the 77 District Security Committees, coordinated by the Chief District Officers.

Stating that the constitution has taken the right path and the foundation for political good governance has been laid after the elections, Minister Aryal mentioned that employees at all levels and tiers, from those working at the center to those deployed in the field, played a significant role in this historic achievement. He noted that this historic accomplishment was possible only through the collective and shared efforts of everyone.

Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha stated that the high praise received from international observers was possible because everyone maintained their professional integrity and fulfilled their responsibilities impartially in the field with good intentions.

Officials from the Provincial Command Posts and District Security Committees participating in the virtual meeting shared their experiences regarding election security management in their respective areas. They further stated that a historic achievement was made by conducting the cleanest, fairest, fear-free, and flawless elections simultaneously at one time compared to the elections held in the past 30 years, and they praised Home Minister Aryal's skillful leadership and guardianship in this success.
