14-Year-Old Domestic Worker Found Dead at Deputy Chairperson's Home in Sunsari

Inaruwa. A 14-year-old girl working at the home of the Deputy Chairperson of Dewanganj Rural Municipality in Sunsari has been found dead.

Police stated that Samjhana Kumari Khatwe, who had been working as a domestic helper at the residence of Deputy Chairperson Yadav in Ward No. 2 of Dewanganj Rural Municipality for some time, was found hanging.

According to the police, Samjhana Kumari Khatwe, the 14-year-old daughter of Shivdayal Khatwe, was found hanging by a scarf loop on a wooden beam of the door leading to the second floor of the house around 3 PM on Tuesday.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident at the Area Police Office, Dewanganj, a police team reached the scene and began an investigation. According to Sunsari Police, a police team was deployed to the scene to complete the preliminary investigation and legal procedures.

Police informed that the body of the deceased girl has been sent to the District Hospital, Inaruwa, for post-mortem examination. Relatives and family of the deceased have demanded an impartial investigation into the incident.
