Labor Culture Party Gains National Recognition Post-Election, Shows Weakness in Madhesh Province

Kathmandu. The vote count for the House of Representatives election under the First-Past-the-Post system has been finalized, while the counting for the Proportional Representation (PR) system is reaching its final stages.

The Labor Culture Party, formed after the Janji movement, has secured the status of a nationally recognized party through the election. However, the party appears weak in the Madhesh Province.

According to the Election Commission, the Labor Culture Party received some votes under the PR system from all 32 constituencies in Madhesh Province. This party received more votes from Mahottari Constituency No. 1 in the PR category compared to other constituencies in Madhesh. The Labor Culture Party received more than one thousand votes under PR from Mahottari-1.

Similarly, it received the fewest votes in Rautahat Constituency No. 3.

The Labor Culture Party received 253 votes in Saptari-1, 157 in Saptari-2, 190 in Saptari-3, and 222 votes in Saptari-4 under the PR system.

Likewise, it received 255 votes in Siraha-1, 317 in Siraha-2, 390 in Siraha-3, and 144 votes in Siraha-4. In Dhanusha-1, the party received 462 votes, Dhanusha-2 received 21, Dhanusha-3 received 363, and Dhanusha-4 received 518 votes.

Under PR, the Labor Culture Party received 1,308 votes in Mahottari-1. In Mahottari-2, it received 328, Mahottari-3 received 74, and Mahottari-4 received 24 votes.

Similarly, it received 801 votes in Sarlahi-1, 53 in Sarlahi-2, 871 in Sarlahi-3, and 27 votes in Sarlahi-4.

The Labor Culture Party received 45 votes in Rautahat-1, 18 in Rautahat-2, 2 in Rautahat-3, and 10 votes in Rautahat-4. Among the 32 constituencies in Madhesh Province, the Labor Culture Party received comparatively very few votes in Rautahat-3.

Furthermore, it received 592 votes in Bara-1, 65 in Bara-2, 296 in Bara-3, 449 in Bara-4, 164 in Parsa-1, 148 in Parsa-2, 333 in Parsa-3, and 203 votes in Parsa-4 under the PR system.
