41 Rounds of Ammunition Recovered Hidden in Hum Pipe in Bhaktapur

Kathmandu. Forty-one rounds of ammunition were found hidden inside a hum pipe in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur. A team led by DSP Krishna Khadka of the Valley Crime Investigation Office recovered the bullets, which were wrapped in a handkerchief.

SP Surya Khadka of Bhaktapur told Ratopati that 20 rounds for a Thrinat Three rifle and an additional 21 rounds for various other weapons were found. It is suspected that the ammunition was looted from police units by protestors during the recent 'Janjati' demonstration. SP Khadka informed that an investigation is underway to determine which police unit the bullets were looted from.
