Bagmati Province Government Directs Private Hospitals to Submit Details

Hetauda. The Bagmati Province government has been directed to submit details of private hospitals. The Education, Health and Agriculture Committee of the Provincial Assembly has directed to submit the details of private hospitals that have received permission in the province.

The meeting has directed the Ministry of Health and subordinate bodies to provide detailed information on the operating permits and renewals granted to new private hospitals in the fiscal year 2082/083 within seven days for transparency and regulation in the health sector, informed Prakash Chapagain, secretary of the committee.

According to him, the meeting decided to discuss the 'Provincial Youth Council Act, 2076' test report-2083 and the 'Provincial Youth Policy-2079' review report-2083 submitted by committee member Ekalal Shrestha with the stakeholders. The committee meeting decided to seek suggestions from stakeholders before submitting the act's report to the assembly and before sending the policy's report to the concerned ministry.

The meeting praised the 'One School - One Nurse Program' operated by the provincial government and described it as an effective bridge between education and health. The committee's conclusion is that this program has played a significant role in improving students' physical, mental, and reproductive health and creating a healthy learning environment. The committee has also directed to make the program more effective.

A 5-member subcommittee has been formed under the convenership of Uttam Joshi to prepare the annual report. Ishwar Sapkota, Ekalal Shrestha, Ramkumar Pahadi, and Shushpa Bhujel Nyaupane are members of the subcommittee. The subcommittee has been given a deadline of Jestha 31 to prepare the report and submit it to the chairperson.

The committee has directed the concerned ministries to ensure adequate resources for the province's pride and major projects and to create an environment for their completion within the stipulated time.
