Two Girls Found Dead in Rukum West River; Third Remains Missing

Surkhet. Two girls have been found dead in the Sano Bheri River in Rukum West.

‎According to Hari Pun, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Rukum West, the deceased have been identified as 12-year-old Kalpana Oli and 14-year-old Urmila Oli from Baphikot Rural Municipality-3. They are sisters from the same household.

‎‎They were found dead in the Sano Bheri River at Bhamle in Baphikot Rural Municipality-3.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Sapana Oli is still missing. "Search operations for her are underway," he said.

‎They had left home on Monday saying they were going to attend a wedding in Musikaot Municipality-1, Bhalakhola.

‎‎"It is suspected that they were swept away while crossing the stream," he said, "However, the exact cause will only be known after investigation into the incident."
