Nepali Film Board Releases Box Office Earnings for Recent Cinema Releases

Kathmandu. The Film Development Board has published the commercial details of Nepali films currently showing in theaters. The Board's 'Cinepa 2 Box Office' released the commercial details of the running Nepali films up to Saturday, Falgun 23, today (Monday).

The film 'Aa Bata Aama', which began screening on Magh 16, has earned Rs 126,690,981. A total of 482,647 tickets were sold for the movie. Directed by Chandra Panta, the film stars actors Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa, Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Panta, Saigrace Pokharel, Gajit Bisht, Begam Nepali, and others.

The film 'Kumari', which started screening on Magh 23, has earned Rs 6,500,000. A total of 20,227 tickets were sold for the film directed by Dinesh Raut. The movie, starring Abhishek Khadka and Aakritiraj Bhandari among others, did not achieve expected business.

Similarly, another film currently showing since Magh 23, 'Ramita Ko Pirati', has earned Rs 3,013,843. A total of 9,564 tickets were sold for the film directed by newcomer director Sudipta Adhikari. Although the film, starring Aana Sharma, Dheeraj Magar, Binay Shrestha, Samir Shrestha, and others, received positive audience reviews, its business performance was not strong.

Three films released on Falgun 1, 'Shree Bukuro', 'Shivansh: Chapter 1', and 'Bigul', have suspended their screenings after failing to achieve expected business. The film 'Shree Bukuro', directed by Sudeep Bhupal Singh, earned Rs 272,930. A total of 805 tickets were sold for the film featuring actors Laxmi Giri, Ashirwad Chhetri, Nikita Acharya, Rajan Ishan, Uttam KC, Roshni Karki, and others.

'Shivansh' earned Rs 261,750. A total of 787 tickets were sold for the film directed by Santosh Kumar Atreya.

The film features actors Praveen Khatiwada, Tej Giri, Bimala Limbu, Rusha Neupane, Bikash Joshi, Pradipkumar Chaudhary, Sabir Churaute, Udaykumar Subba, Tika Niroula, and others. The story was written by Anjana KC, and the screenplay was by Bharat Limbu.

The film 'Bigul', also released on Falgun 1, earned Rs 897,410. A total of 2,609 tickets were sold for the film directed by Ramesh Koirala. The movie stars Benisha Hamal, Naren Khadka, Ramesh Budhathoki, Saroj Khanal, and others.

The film 'Prawasi Jeevan' recorded very low earnings. The film, which began screening across Nepal on Falgun 15, was jointly directed by Shyam Chhetri and Ram Adhikari.

The film, starring actor Rajesh Hamal, Sarita Lamichhane, Buddhi Tamang, Mahadev Tripathi, Angela Basnet, Gagan Subedi, Lokesh Bhitrikoți, Divya Neupane, Abigail Luhar, Prasu Giri, Shikha Adhikari, and director Chhetri himself, earned Rs 138,480. A total of 905 tickets were sold for the movie.

The Film Development Board has been publishing the commercial details of domestic films screened in Nepal every Monday for the past few months.
