RSP Leader Amresh Singh Writes Open Letter to Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa, Accusing Him of Being 'Imported by Corrupt Forces'

Kathmandu. Amresh Kumar Singh, a leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a member of the House of Representatives, has written an open letter to Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa. Singh wrote the open letter to Thapa via social media platform Facebook on Sunday evening.

In the open letter, Singh accused Thapa of being a candidate imported by corrupt individuals. He wrote, 'First of all, I want to thank you for contesting the election by coming to Sarlahi. If you had come on your own, the election would have been interesting. But you became a candidate imported by the corrupt. Not only that, you allowed those corrupt individuals to comment freely on my personal and family life.'

He stated his belief that politics should be based on principles and agendas. He mentioned that leaving behind the bitter aspects of the election, the RSP is moving forward in nation-building, suggesting that cooperation might be possible on various issues in the future.

Stating that the RSP received a public mandate to curb the corrupt, Singh said, 'I fully hope that you (Gagan Thapa) will leave the company of those corrupt individuals and engage in clean politics. You tried to change Congress, but you could not change yourself. I wish you a clean and pure future in politics.'

Gagan Thapa was defeated by Singh in the Sarlahi constituency number 4.
