2,408 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 408 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs four lakh 58 thousand revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 140 who consumed intoxicating substances, 116 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 138 signal light violators, and 284 who drove vehicles at high speed were penalized.

Similarly, 85 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 106 who honked in prohibited areas, 124 who 'parked' vehicles on the side of the road, 116 who drove on one-way roads, and one thousand 335 who did not follow other traffic rules were penalized.
