Rastriya Swatantra Party Dominates Koshi Province Election Results; 15 Seats Secured So Far

Biratnagar. The final vote count has been announced for 22 out of the 28 constituencies in Koshi Province. Among these, candidates from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have won 15 seats. The RSP achieved a clean sweep in Jhapa, Morang, Udayapur, and Okhaldhunga.

The Nepali Congress follows the RSP. Congress has secured victory in 3 seats so far. CPN-UML has won 3 seats, and the Shram Sanskriti Party has won 1 seat. 

In Taplejung, CPN-UML's Khitij Thebe won the seat, defeating Congress's Gajendra Prasad Tumyang Limbu.

Meanwhile, in Panchthar, Congress's Narendra Kumar Kerung was elected, defeating his closest competitor, Hastaraj Sherma of the Shram Sanskriti Party. 

In Illam Constituency No. 2, CPN-UML's Suhang Nemwang was elected, defeating his closest competitor, Congress's Bheshraj Acharya. 

In Jhapa, the RSP achieved a clean sweep in all 5 constituencies. Nisha Dangi won in Constituency No. 1, Indira Rana in Constituency No. 2, Prakash Pathak in Constituency No. 3, Shambhu Prasad Dhakal in Constituency No. 4, and Balendra Shah won in Constituency No. 5. 

Similarly, the RSP also swept all 6 constituencies in Morang. Yagyamani Neupane won in Morang Constituency No. 1, Krishna Karki in No. 2, Ganesh Karki in No. 3, Santosh Rajbanshi in No. 4, Asha Jha in No. 5, and Rubina Acharya in No. 6. 

In Sunsari's 4 constituencies, an RSP candidate won in 1 seat. Ashokkumar Chaudhary of the RSP won in Constituency No. 3. Although Harkaraj Rai of the Shram Sanskriti Party was leading in Sunsari Constituency No. 1, RSP candidates are significantly ahead in Constituency No. 2 and No. 4. 

Furthermore, the RSP won both constituencies in Udayapur. Parashmani Gelal was elected from Constituency No. 1 and Suryabahadur Tamang from Constituency No. 2. 
Similarly, Bishwamani Pokhrel of the RSP was elected from Okhaldhunga, while Aren Rai of the Shram Sanskriti Party won in Khotang. 

In Dhankuta, CPN-UML's Rajendra Rai was victorious, while in Tehrathum, Congress's Santosh Subba was elected. Prakash Singh Karki of the Congress won in Solukhumbu.
