Rastriya Swatantra Party Secures Over 750 Votes in Manang Despite Not Fielding a Direct Candidate

Pokhara. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which did not field any direct candidate, has secured over 750 votes in Manang. According to the completed count, RSP garnered 752 votes from Manang. The Nepali Congress was the first in the proportional representation category as well, securing 1,377 votes.

Similarly, the CPN-UML, which withdrew its candidacy in the direct election after giving a walkover to the Congress, received only 571 votes, fewer than the RSP, informed Chief Election Officer Ram Prasad Paudel. According to him, the Communist Party of Nepal received 226 votes, while others did not cross 100 votes.

Hark Sampang's Shram Sanskriti Party received 83 votes. The Rastriya Parivartan Party received 40, and the Sanyukta Nagarik Party received 20 votes. National Republic Nepal received 11, Mongol National Organization received 11, RPP received 10, and Janmat received 5 votes. Sarvabhaum Nagarik received 4 votes, and Rastriya Ekata Dal received 2 votes.

The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist), JSP, NSP, Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, Sadbhavana Party, Matribhumi, and Rastriya Gaurav Party each received 1 vote. Out of 58 parties in the district, 36 parties received zero votes, and 7 parties received 1 vote.
