Nepal Weather Update: High Pressure System Influences Current Conditions

Kathmandu. Currently, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a trough of low pressure in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of Nepal are exerting partial influence.

Generally cloudy conditions prevail over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The remaining areas are partly cloudy.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it will be generally cloudy this afternoon over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country. Fog will persist in some areas of the Terai region in the morning.

According to the Department, it will be generally cloudy tonight over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Slight haze will remain in a few places in the Terai region.
