Vote Counting Continues for Federal Parliament Elections; Preliminary Results Show RSP Leading in Several Constituencies

Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the House of Representatives election held on Thursday is ongoing. While vote counting is underway in more than 80 constituencies, the final results for two constituencies have been announced. Candidates from RSP and Congress have been elected in Kathmandu-1 and Mustang, respectively. Vote counting is continuing in other constituencies besides these.

RSP candidates are currently leading in many constituencies, including Jhapa-5 and Sarlahi-4. In this context, the preliminary counting results for Rautahat Constituency No. 1 have been released. Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary of RSP is leading in this constituency. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is in fourth place here.

RSP's Chaudhary has secured 706 votes, while Yogendra Chaudhary of JSP is in second place with 567 votes. Ajay Gupta of CPN-UML is in third place with 288 votes, and Madhav Kumar Nepal of CPN is in fourth place with 220 votes. Nepal is a former Prime Minister.

Similarly, vote counting is also underway in Pyuthan district, the home district of CPN-UML leader Surya Thapa. Thapa is currently in fifth place in the counting so far. According to the received details, with 1,347 votes counted, Thapa has received 69 votes. Sushant Baidya of RSP is in the lead in this constituency with 505 votes.

Furthermore, Govindaraj Pokharel of Congress has received 466 votes, while Tilak Bahadur GC of Rastriya Janamorcha has received 134, and Krishna Dhwaj Khadka of CPN has received 108 votes.
