Vote Counting Delayed in Khotang for House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the House of Representatives election in Khotang is likely to be delayed for some more time. According to the Chief Election Officer, Phadindra Parajuli, the process of collecting ballot boxes from various polling centers is currently underway.

Speaking with Ratopati, Chief Election Officer Parajuli informed that collecting the ballot boxes will take another 45 minutes to an hour. He stated, 'The process of collecting ballot boxes is ongoing, and this work will take some more time to complete. Following that, we will convene an all-party meeting.'

The all-party meeting, to be attended by all political parties and stakeholders, will decide on the time and procedure for vote counting. Parajuli clarified that the exact start time for counting will only be finalized after consensus is reached in that meeting.                

'It is not possible to state exactly at what time the counting will begin right now,' he said.
