India Sets Mammoth 254-Run Target for England in T20 World Cup Semifinal

Kathmandu. India has set a target of 254 runs before England in the T20 World Cup cricket tournament.

India and England are competing in the second semifinal match of the World Cup for a place in the final. The winner of this match will compete against New Zealand in the final.

Having lost the toss and batting first, India scored 253 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sanju Samson played an explosive innings for India, scoring a maximum of 89 runs. He hit 8 fours and 7 sixes off 42 balls.

Similarly, Shivam Dube contributed 43 runs and Ishan Kishan scored 39 runs. Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs off 12 balls.

England's bowlers could not make much of an impact. Jofra Archer took one wicket giving away 61 runs in four overs, while Sam Curran gave away 53 runs in four overs. Adil Rashid took two wickets giving away 41 runs in four overs. Will Jacks gave away 40 runs in four overs and took two wickets.
