Vote Counting for House of Representatives Elections to Begin at Election Officer Offices

Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the House of Representatives elections will take place at the Election Officer's office across all 165 constituencies.

According to the Election Commission, the counting for the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) system will commence after the ballot boxes from the polling stations under the respective constituency are collected at the Election Officer's office.

An all-party meeting will be held at the district and constituency level before the vote counting begins. The Commission has stated that efforts are underway to publish the results of the FPTP system within 24 hours of starting the count. The counting for the Proportional Representation (PR) system will begin after the FPTP results are announced.
