KP Sharma Oli Recalls Two Significant Life Events on House Election Day and Martyrs' Day

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli recalled two significant coincidences from his life on the day of the House of Representatives election.

Through social media Facebook, he mentioned that today is Sukhanai Martyrs' Day, and on this very day, six years ago, he underwent his second kidney transplant. He noted that both days were occasions when he narrowly escaped death and was revived.

Oli recalled that the Jhapa movement sounded the bugle of rebellion against the autocratic system, during which they were imprisoned. He remembered that Ramnath Dahal, Netra Ghimire, Biren Rajbanshi, Krishna Kuinkel, and Narayan Shrestha were murdered in the Sukhanai forest under the pretext of transferring them from jail.

He also mentioned that he narrowly escaped death when they were about to be killed under the pretext of being transferred from jail and endured 14 years of harsh imprisonment.

He paid heartfelt tribute to the immortal martyrs who sacrificed themselves to lead the country to the bright dawn of democracy. He mentioned that Falgun 21 is a day never to be forgotten.
