Baglung Finalizes Security Measures for House of Representatives Election Vote Counting

Baglung. Security arrangements including wire mesh fencing and CCTV cameras have been finalized at the vote counting centers for both constituencies of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Thursday.

The counting centers have been established at the District Coordination Committee hall, which houses the Chief Electoral Officer's office for Constituency No. 1, and at the New Town Project Office in Kuthapla for Constituency No. 2.

Chief Electoral Officer Sita Sharma Adhikari informed that the counting centers have been equipped with wire mesh fencing and CCTV cameras to ensure the vote counting process is systematic, fast, and secure. She stated that security arrangements, including CCTV cameras, have been put in place at the counting centers. Adhikari explained that wire mesh fencing was installed to prevent unauthorized entry into the counting area.

Arrangements have been made for the vote counting staff to sit inside the wire mesh enclosure, while representatives of the candidates can observe from outside the transparent wire mesh. Representatives of the candidates participating in the vote counting will be able to view the counting process through the metal wire mesh.

Chief Electoral Officer Adhikari stated, 'Vote counting will take place in the two constituencies of the district. For this, counting will be held at the District Coordination Committee hall for Constituency No. 1 and at the New Town Project office for Constituency No. 2. Security arrangements at the counting centers will be tightened once the counting begins; a metal wire mesh taller than a person has been installed, and only counters will be allowed inside the enclosure.'
