Proportional Candidate for Prabhu Sah's Party Attacked During Campaign in Rautahat, Suffers Broken Nose

Rautahat. Lalbabu Mansuri, a proportional candidate for the Janmat Party led by Prabhu Sah, was attacked during an election campaign. His nasal bone was broken in the attack.

The attack on Mansuri occurred on Monday evening in Bedouli village of Gujara Municipality-6, Rautahat-3. The injured Mansuri was treated at a hospital in Chandranigahapur. After treatment, he is currently resting at his home in Gujara. Doctors confirmed that his nasal bone was fractured.

Mansuri shared details of the incident while speaking with Ratopati. On Monday evening, the party chairman and former minister, Prabhu Sah, who is a candidate for the House of Representatives, was conducting a door-to-door campaign in Bedouli village of Gujara-6. During this time, some cadres from an opposing party attempted to disrupt the program by playing loud music (DJ). Mansuri stated that when he tried to reason with the opposing cadres, they pushed him, and an unknown youth struck him from a distance with a stick, hitting his nose and causing injury.

A police team arrived at the scene immediately after the incident and brought the situation under control. The attackers fled upon seeing the police. He alleged that local cadres from JSP and RPP were involved in the attack. AJAPA's proportional candidate Lalbabu Mansuri has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and bringing the culprits to justice. The District Police Office, Rautahat, confirmed the incident and stated that necessary investigation is underway.
