Man Arrested in Bhaktapur with INSAS Rifle and Various Weapons

Kathmandu. Police in Bhaktapur have arrested one person along with an INSAS rifle and various other weapons.

Police took 31-year-old Ayan Sedhai into custody around 9 AM on Tuesday from Suryavinayak Municipality-8, Bhumdol. He is a permanent resident of Palungtar Municipality-9, Gorkha, and was currently residing in Bhaktapur. 

District Police Office Bhaktapur Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Jabegu informed that four rounds of SLR rifle bullets, one plastic round, one shotgun round, one khukuri, two sheaths for the khukuri, one axe, and five syringes used for drug consumption were recovered from Sedhai's possession.

Police stated that the INSAS weapon was looted during the 'Jangi Andolan' (War Movement) and further investigation is underway regarding this matter.
