International Flights Canceled from Kathmandu Due to Middle East Airspace Closures

Kathmandu. Due to the recent unusual situation in the Middle East region, international flights from Tribhuvan International Airport to some countries have been canceled after several nations closed their airspace.

According to the notice issued by the Civil Aviation Office at Tribhuvan International Airport, 31 flights were suspended on Monday. Currently, the airspace of Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Bahrain is closed.  

According to the office, flights of various airlines scheduled for today have been canceled, while some flights have been postponed until Chaitra 3.

Major canceled flights include those operated by Jazeera Airways, Kuwait Airways, Air Arabia, Flydubai, Nepal Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Himalayan Airlines.

The airport office has urged affected passengers to contact their respective airlines and seek updated information regarding their flights.  

Furthermore, it has been stated that coordination is underway with airlines and relevant bodies to make air traffic management smooth and effective.
