Suspicious Object Found Near River in Rautahat, Later Identified as Pile of Soil

Birgunj. A suspicious object was found this morning in Rautahat. The Rautahat police reported that the suspicious object was found in the alley of the Panitanki River in Ward No. 5 of Rajpur Municipality, Rautahat.

Rautahat Police Chief SP Sitaram Rijal stated that the suspicious object, a drum, was placed near the road by the Panitanki River. According to him, locals informed the police after seeing the unattended drum on the rural roadside.

He added that a police team immediately reached the scene. Rautahat police informed that the suspicious object found in the drum was a pile of soil.

The police reported that the Nepali Army's bomb disposal team from Narayan Dal Battalion in Gaur Puranawa found a pile of soil when they disposed of the object.
