Three Arrested in Surkhet for Posting TikTok Video Displaying Khukuri

‎Surkhet. Surkhet police have taken three individuals into custody for posting a video on TikTok displaying a khukuri (traditional Nepali knife). 

‎Those arrested include 18-year-old Surendra Shahi, a native of Shubhakalika Rural Municipality, Kalikot, residing at Airport, Birendranagar Municipality-10; 19-year-old Asim Sawad, a native of Dailekh residing at the Airport and studying in Grade 12; and 18-year-old Prakash Sunar, a native of Dailekh residing at Pipira, Birendranagar-11 and studying in Grade 12.

‎‎Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budhathapa of the District Police Office, Surkhet, stated that they were arrested on charges of disturbing public peace by posting a video showing the khukuri.

‎'The police are further investigating them under the offense related to disturbing public peace,' he said.
