Controversial Businessman Durga Prasai Arrested in Bhaktapur

Kathmandu. Durga Prasai, coordinator of the National, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Protection Grand Campaign and a medical entrepreneur, has been arrested. He was apprehended from his residence in Bhaktapur.

Prasai has been taken to the District Police Range, Bhaktapur. DSP Prakash Jabegu of the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, informed Ratopati that he was taken into custody for investigation.

Previously, he was released on February 26 (Falgun 13) following an order from the Supreme Court. Recently, the administration has been arresting him and the court has been releasing him on suspicion of playing a role in disrupting the elections.

DSP Jabegu stated that he will be investigated under a remand order for offenses against public peace.
