Global Leaders React to US and Israeli Airstrikes Against Iran, Expressing Concern Over Regional Instability

Leaders across the globe are reacting to the airstrikes conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Some leaders have expressed concern that today's events could escalate regional instability. Russia strongly objected to the incident. In a statement issued on Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry described these attacks as an ill-considered step and a premeditated, deliberate, and unprovoked armed attack. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X, "It is important for the US to act decisively. Whenever there is American resolve, global criminals weaken. The same understanding must apply to Russia." He ultimately expressed hope that the Middle East region would become safe and stable. 

Similarly, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated, "The recent events in the Middle East are deeply worrying." He emphasized that ensuring nuclear security and long-term stability in the region is extremely important for everyone. "Finland condemns all activities that escalate regional conflict," it said. It also urged maximum restraint. 

Ireland's Taoiseach Micheál Martin also expressed deep concern over the incident and urged all parties to exercise restraint and try to prevent the conflict from spreading. "The airstrike on Iran has doubled the importance of the Friendship Pipeline, which supplies Russian crude oil through Ukraine to Hungary," said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. 

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that his country stands firmly with Israel and supports the US action. He also said he fully supports all decisive efforts to prevent Tehran's murderers from acquiring nuclear or other military capabilities. 

France, Germany, and the UK have also indicated they are in close coordination with American, Israeli, and regional partners. All of them condemned Iran's counter-attack and reiterated their commitment to regional stability and civilian safety.
