Six Killed in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Six people have lost their lives in separate road accidents in various parts of the country. Citizens aged between 6 and 30 years died in these accidents that occurred in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Sunsari, Palpa, and Mahottari.

In Kathmandu, a young man died when a mini-Tata truck hit a motorcycle near Namgel Buspark in Gokarneshwor Municipality-2 on Wednesday evening. Pawan Tamang, 30, a resident of Mulpani Height, died after the mini-Tata truck, bearing registration number Ba.11 Cha 4738, struck the motorcycle with registration number Ba. 81 Pa 456.

Tamang, who was critically injured in the accident, died during treatment at Nepal Medical College, Attarkhel. Police have taken the driver of the truck that caused the collision into custody.

Meanwhile, in Chitwan's Khairhani Municipality-9, Simaltandi Chowk, a woman was killed after being hit by a bus with registration number Bagmati Pradesh 01-006 Kha 5217. The deceased has been identified as Sikil Devi Purve, 52, from Dhanushadham Municipality-2. She succumbed to her critical injuries during treatment at Old Medical College, Bharatpur, following the accident that occurred last night. Police have detained the bus driver.

Similarly, two people died in two separate road accidents in Itahari and Barahakshetra in Sunsari. In Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Girija Nanda Shah, 47, from Saptari, died when a car with registration number Pradesh 1-01-001 Cha 7505 hit a pedestrian and a tempo. Three others, including the car and tempo drivers, were injured in the same accident.

Likewise, in Barahakshetra Municipality-11, Gupta Tole, the driver of a motorcycle, 32-year-old Vijay Rishidev, died after the vehicle with registration number Ko.25 Pa 149 went out of control and crashed. Another person riding the motorcycle was injured in the accident.

In Palpa's Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-1, the driver of a tipper, 34-year-old Khim Bahadur Somai, died after the vehicle with registration number Lu.2 Kha 2001 overturned and crashed. He passed away during treatment at a medical college in Phabas.

In Mahottari's Sonama Rural Municipality-7, Sundarpur, a six-year-old girl, Asmita Kumari Yadav, died after being hit by a tractor. The girl succumbed to her critical injuries during treatment at Janaki Academy after being struck by the tractor with registration number Ja.1 Ta 6739. Police are searching for the tractor driver who fled the scene.

Police have initiated further necessary investigations into all the accidents.
