Samsung Prepares to Unveil New Galaxy S26 Flagship Series at Unpacked Event

 South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphone series at its annual Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for Wednesday.

The event will commence in San Francisco, USA, according to Nepali time. The company is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra along with the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus this time around.

The event will be broadcast live via Samsung's official website and YouTube channel. The Unpacked event, which typically lasts about an hour, usually features a 'surprise' teaser towards the end.

According to various reports, the company will maintain its traditional three-model strategy this year, launching the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. Although there were rumors of introducing a 'Pro' brand and dropping the Plus model, Korean media has indicated those plans have been abandoned. The potential S26 Edge model remains uncertain.

Design Changes

According to leaks, the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra will resemble the previous generation. Some sources suggest the camera bump might be similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, while other reports claim a flat design will be maintained. This leaves ambiguity regarding the design until the official announcement. Color options are likely to include Black, White, Silver Shadow, Sky Blue, Cobalt Velvet, and Pink Gold, aligning with the company's premium lineup.

Powerful Processor and High RAM Capacity

There is widespread speculation that the Galaxy S26 series will feature Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Reports also suggest that Samsung's own Exynos 2600 chip might be used in some regions. The rumor that all models will feature 16GB of RAM has generated particular interest. If true, this would be the highest RAM configuration seen in a Galaxy phone in recent years. Storage options are expected to remain largely the same—128 GB for the standard model and a 256 GB base variant for the Ultra model.

This year's biggest upgrade is anticipated to be in the battery department. Samsung is reportedly preparing to increase capacity by utilizing 'stacked battery' technology.
