Newcastle United Secures UEFA Champions League Group Stage Spot After Defeating Qarabag FK

Kathmandu. English club Newcastle United has secured a place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Newcastle entered the group stage after defeating Azerbaijan's club Qarabag FK 3-2 in the second leg of the playoff on Wednesday.

In the match played on their home ground, Newcastle took a two-goal lead within the first six minutes. Sandro Tonali scored in the fourth minute to give the team the lead, and Joelinton doubled the advantage with a goal in the sixth minute.

Qarabag attempted to get back into the game in the second half. Camilo Duran scored in the 50th minute to bring the score to 2-1, but just two minutes later, Sven Botman scored for Newcastle to make it 3-1. Although Elvin Cəfərquliyev scored another goal for Qarabag in the 57th minute, it was not enough to avert the defeat.

With this victory, Newcastle secured their place in the Champions League group stage with an aggregate win of 9-3.
