Cabinet Appoints Dr. Dibakar Bhatta as Chairman of Consumer Court

Kathmandu. The cabinet meeting on Tuesday appointed Dr. Dibakar Bhatta as the Chairman of the Consumer Court based on the recommendation of the Judicial Council. According to Home Minister and Government Spokesperson Om Prakash Aryal, Kathmandu District Judge Bhatta has been appointed as the chairman of the said court.

Dr. Bhatta was the first person in Nepal to pass the Master of Laws (LLM) program conducted at Tribhuvan University with first division first rank, and he was honored with the Mahendra Vidya Bhushan 'Kha'. He obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law and Human Rights with first division from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.

Having gained over two decades of experience in the field of law and justice, he has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Tribhuvan University. He has published dozens of research articles in the field of justice and law, and he has special expertise in writing, research, and training.
