Lightning Strike Kills One Girl, Injures Two in Gorkha, Nepal

Gorkha. One girl has died and two others were injured after being struck by lightning in Bunkot, Gorkha. The 12-year-old Dilisha Gharti Magar of Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-8, Bunkot, died after being struck by lightning around 4 PM on Tuesday, according to the Arughat Basic Hospital.

Additionally, 13-year-old Diksha Ghartimagar, a resident of the same place, and 24-year-old Birendra Thapamagar from Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-6 were injured by the lightning. The hospital stated in a press release that their condition is stable.

All three were struck by lightning in Khursanitar, Mulpani, Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-3, Dhading. The hospital reported that Dilisha was already deceased upon arrival at the hospital with the three injured individuals.
