Three Arrested in Jhapa and Sunsari for Possession of Banned Drugs and Brown Sugar

Biratnagar. Police have taken three individuals into custody from separate locations in Jhapa and Sunsari in connection with banned medicines and the illicit drug brown sugar.

They were apprehended on Falgun 11 during active operations aimed at controlling narcotics. A team from the Area Police Office, Budhabare, arrested Sonam Sherpa of Buddhshanti-4, Jhapa, along with 1 gram and 10 milligrams of brown sugar.

Similarly, a police team deployed at Tinkune in Dharan-8, Sunsari, apprehended two youths during a check with a large quantity of banned medicines. During the search of motorcycle with registration number Pra 1-02-055 Pa 1132, police recovered 590 capsules of Tramadol and 590 tablets of Dicolik from Sijan Adhikari of Sundarharaicha-4, Morang, and Nabin Kadel of Fedap-3, Tehrathum.

Police stated that further investigation is underway while the three arrested individuals are being held in custody.
