Preparations Intensify in Sudurpaschim Province for Federal Parliament Elections

Kanchanpur. Preparations are rapidly underway in Sudurpaschim Province for the Federal Parliament member elections scheduled for Falgun 21. In Sudurpaschim, which has 16 electoral constituencies, security personnel have been mobilized, election materials transported, and ballot papers delivered to the Election Officer's offices.

Premraj Bhatt, Chief of the Provincial Election Office in Dhangadhi, informed that ballot papers have been delivered to the Election Officer's offices in all districts under the security watch of the Nepali Army. "The transportation of 51 types of election materials to the election offices is ongoing," said Election Office Chief Bhatt, adding, "Staff deployment and training sessions are also being conducted." He further informed that training has been provided to the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers in Kailali.

Similarly, the mobilization of forces focused on election security is also taking place here. Deputy Inspector General Om Rana, Chief of the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office, informed that additional police forces have been deployed in the hilly districts as well.

Across Sudurpaschim Province, over 7,500 personnel from the Nepal Police and more than 5,000 from the Armed Police Force Nepal have been mobilized, while the Nepali Army has also increased its activity, taking charge of airport and prison security.
