Mock Voting Drill Conducted in Banke Ahead of Federal Elections

Nepalgunj. A mock voting drill was conducted in Banke. The drill took place today with the participation of the Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers as the House of Representatives election, 2082, draws nearer.

District Election Officer Tek Bahadur Shahi stated that the mock voting drill will help make the House of Representatives election independent, impartial, and transparent. Mentioning that it will help prevent errors in the election process, he noted that the Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers will be informed about the entire process from the start to the end of the election at various polling stations.

Shahi added that the objective of the mock voting drill is to provide information on the methods adopted to conduct a completely peaceful and impartial election.

The District Election Office informed that 160 Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers were trained here, and all Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers will be retrained through mock voting drills in phases.

Banke's Assistant Chief District Officer Mahesh Kumar Gurung facilitated the voting practice process. Such drills and training will continue until Falgun 14.
