Two Temporary Polling Stations Designated in Kanchanpur for Upcoming Federal Elections

Kanchanpur. Two temporary polling stations have been designated in Kanchanpur for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.

Election Officer of the District Election Office, Harishchandra Joshi, stated that temporary polling stations have been set up at the Prison Branch and the Bhimdatta Municipality office.

Officer Joshi mentioned that these temporary polling stations are designated for the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force personnel on standby, employees, and inmates held in the prison.

The number of temporary voters here is over five hundred, including 21 inmates. Officer Joshi informed that although there are many inmates in the prison, only those whose names are included in the final voter list will be allowed to vote.

Meanwhile, the selection process for the polling officers and assistant polling officers to be deployed in all three constituencies of the district has been completed, and training has commenced. Today, training was provided to the polling officers and assistant polling officers assigned to Constituency No. 1. A training schedule is planned for Constituency No. 2 and 3 on Monday.

The election officer's offices in all three constituencies have reported that the process of selecting and deploying support staff is in its final stage. Ballot papers and all election-related materials have arrived in the district, and the process of transporting them to the constituencies is underway. Joshi informed that the materials sent to the election officer's office are currently being verified and bundled.
