Cardamom Exports Surge in First Seven Months of Fiscal Year

Kathmandu. Cardamom worth NPR 8.61 billion has been exported in seven months. According to data published by the Department of Customs, 4153.15 metric tons of cardamom, valued at NPR 8.61207 billion, were exported until the end of Magh during the current fiscal year 2082-83.

Data from the department indicates that in the same period last year, exports amounted to 3028.49 metric tons, valued at NPR 8.3976 billion.

According to the department's statistics, both the export value and volume of cardamom have increased. The total value of cardamom exported in the current year is NPR 3.214317 billion higher compared to the previous year. Similarly, the export volume has also increased by 1124.66 metric tons.
