Western Disturbance Partially Affecting Nepal, Weather Forecast Indicates

Kathmandu. The Department of Meteorology has stated that a partial influence of the Western Disturbance is currently affecting Nepal. Due to this influence, there is partial cloud cover in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the mountainous regions of the rest of the country. The weather in the remaining areas is mostly clear.

This afternoon, fog will persist in some parts of the Terai region. The mountainous regions of the country will generally have cloudy skies, while the hilly regions will have partial cloud cover. The weather in the Terai region will remain mostly clear. 

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces, and in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces. 

Tonight, haze will remain in a few places in the Terai region. There will be partial cloud cover in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces; the weather in the remaining areas will be mostly clear. 

The Department has indicated a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
