Kanchapur Administration Urges Respectful Holi Amidst Election Silence Period

Kanchanpur. To ensure full compliance with the code of conduct for the upcoming House of Representatives election, the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, has urged the public to observe the Holi festival, which falls during the silence period, in a dignified and disciplined manner. Issuing a six-point directive today to ensure effective implementation of peace, security, and the election code of conduct, the office called on the district residents to exercise high vigilance.

Keeping in mind the sensitivity of the election, the administration has urged political parties, candidates, voters, and all concerned bodies to exercise restraint and maintain a cordial atmosphere. The notice issued by the administration states, "We request full compliance with the Code of Conduct-2082 and to inform the relevant bodies if any violation activities occur."

Clear instructions have been given that mandatory permission must be obtained before organizing crowded events in the name of celebrating Holi, loud noise or playing DJs in public places that affect neighbors is prohibited, and activities that affect neighbors should not be carried out. Furthermore, the administration has stated that the act of applying color, throwing water balloons, or splashing filth against anyone's will is completely forbidden. A warning has also been issued that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in activities such as driving under the influence of intoxicating or narcotic substances, or engaging in coercive or indecent behavior.

Special requests have been made not to obstruct or harass employees and security personnel deployed for election security. The notice, signed by Assistant Chief District Officer Mohan Chandra Joshi, mentioned that everyone's cooperation is essential to complete the election and the festival peacefully.
