Nepal Defeats Bhutan by 51 Runs in ACC Women's Premier Cup

Kuala Lumpur. Nepal has defeated Bhutan by 51 runs in the ACC Women's Premier Cup 2026. While chasing the target of 114 runs set by Nepal, Bhutan could only manage to score 62 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

In the match held on Thursday at the Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar Oval in Kuala Lumpur, opener Dechen Wangmo scored a maximum of 39 runs. She faced 60 balls and hit 5 fours.

Chado Om scored 11 runs off 21 balls. Other batters could not score in double digits. For Nepal, Rubina Chhetri bowled a lethal spell, conceding 16 runs in 4 overs to take 3 wickets. Riya Sharma took 2, while Kabita Kunwar and Manisha Upadhyay took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Nepal had scored 113 runs for all out in the stipulated 20 overs. Sita Rana Magar contributed 37 runs off 28 balls for the team. She hit 6 fours.  

Rubina Chhetri added 24 runs off 21 balls. She hit 3 fours. Soni Pakhrin scored 13 runs, and opener Samjhana Kumari scored 10 runs. Other batters could not score in double digits.

For Bhutan, Sonam and Tshering Zangmo took 3 wickets each. Anju Gurung took 2 wickets, while Ritish Choden and Riya Pradhan took 1 wicket each.

Nepal, in Group D, had previously defeated Qatar by 8 wickets.
