Former Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan Marries Irish Partner Sophie Shain

Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has married his Irish girlfriend, Sophie Shain.

The 40-year-old former Indian opener got engaged to Sophie on January 12, one month ago. The couple had been in a relationship for some time and made their relationship public in May 2025.

Dhawan had previously divorced his first wife, Ayesha Mukherjee, in 2023. They married in 2011. Dhawan and Ayesha also have one son.

During their engagement last month, Dhawan wrote on social media, 'We have shared everything from smiles to dreams. Grateful for the love, blessings, and good wishes received on the occasion of our engagement. We are choosing each other forever.' Sophie was also seen supporting the team when Dhawan played for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Who is Sophie Shain?

Sophie Shain is from Ireland. When she met Dhawan, she was working in the United Arab Emirates. According to her social media profile, she worked as the Second Vice President in the role of Product Consultant at the US-based financial services company 'Northern Trust Corporation'. Since July last year, Sophie has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Dhawan's sports company 'Da One Sports'.

She studied Marketing Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology in Ireland. She completed her primary education from Castleknock College. Sophie has also appeared in many entertaining videos published by Dhawan on social media.
