Nepal Imports Over 24.5 Million Condoms in Seven Months

Condoms worth 24.5 million pieces have been imported over a period of seven months.

According to data released by the Customs Department, statistics show that 24,493,115 condoms, valued at NPR 158.25 million, were imported by the end of Magh in the current fiscal year 2082/83.

It is mentioned that revenue collection of NPR 6,000 was generated from the import of this quantity of condoms.

Condoms, used as a temporary means of family planning, are imported into Nepal from countries including Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and the UAE.
