CPN-UML Chairman Oli Expresses Dissatisfaction Over Supreme Court's Delayed Verdicts Amid Constitutional Crisis

Jhapa. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed dissatisfaction over the Supreme Court's failure to deliver timely verdicts during a serious constitutional complexity.

 Talking to journalists at Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa on Saturday, Chairman Oli stated that justice delivered after the time has elapsed holds no meaning.

He emphasized that the Supreme Court should have delivered a verdict in a timely manner when the country was entangled in and trapped by serious constitutional questions. He compared justice delivered late to expired medicine. 'Justice delivered after the deadline is like a date-expired medicine,' Oli said, 'It is not useful in practice and yields no results.'

Referring to the context where the Supreme Court scheduled the hearing on the case against the dissolution of the House of Representatives after the elections, Chairman Oli called it practically meaningless and purposeless.

 He stated that although it might set a precedent and establish a principle in the future, the justice was not meaningful for the immediate term. 

He complained that the court failed in its responsibility to return the country to normalcy from the difficult situation it had reached.

Oli clarified that since the court did not provide a timely resolution, there is no alternative left to move the country forward other than elections.
