Political Rivals Share Tea in Dadeldhura Amidst Heated Election Campaigning

Dadeldhura. Candidates are busy campaigning for the House of Representatives election. In some places, candidates have been criticizing each other.

A peculiar scene was witnessed in Dadeldhura on Saturday morning. Candidates from the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Communist Party of Nepal) sat at the same table for tea and snacks in Tufandada of Amargadhi Municipality.

In Dadeldhura, Nain Singh Mahar is the candidate from the Nepali Congress, and Man Singh Mal is the candidate from the CPN. Before heading to their respective election campaigns, Mahar and Mal sat at the same table for tea and snacks at a local hotel.

Mahar, who was having snacks with some of his cadres, was discussing the campaign schedule for Saturday. During this time, CPN candidate Mal entered the hotel.

Mahar asked the cadres sitting with him to move to another table and seated CPN candidate Mal with him.

The two candidates had a brief, cordial conversation about their election campaigns. Both shared their respective programs with each other. Following this, both departed towards their destinations as per their schedules.

'We have a good relationship. We are in a friendly competition,' said CPN candidate Mal, 'We need to take our agendas to the people. Whoever the people trust will receive the votes.'

Congress candidate Mahar also stated that they will go to the people with their respective agendas and programs, and the people will evaluate them based on that. He said, 'There is no reason for us to abuse each other.'
